Esther Kim

Esther Kim

Esther Kim is a junior at Chino Hills High with a passion for creative ideas. Through diverse activities such as supporting her city’s through the FYLA Community Fund, serving on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Student Councils, and connecting school communities with handwritten letters with Project Dear Students, Esther strives to develop innovative solutions for issues impacting modern-day youth.

When she’s not working on one of her projects, Esther enjoys playing the electric guitar, listening to jazz music, and trying anything new she can get her hands on.

Aaron Keum

Aaron Keum

Aaron Keum is a sophomore from Chino Hills High School. He likes to go biking and play video games. One thing he hopes to do in FLYA is help the community and learn more about the people in it. He looks forward to a stronger connection with the people in his community after doing projects with this team.

He wants to build bonds with people not just in his community but outside of it as well. By working with this team filled with unique people, he believes we can really make an impact on the community.

Sam Paik

Sam Paik

Sam Paik is a Sophomore currently attending Sonora High School. He is a member of Sonora High School’s Army Junior ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corp) program. He is heavily involved in Boy Scouts and is currently very close to achieving the prestigious achievement of Eagle Scout.

For a sport, Samuel plays water polo and enjoys the sport thoroughly. Samuel strives to be the best he can in situations and is always willing to help.

Yerin Oh

Yerin Oh

Yerin Oh is a freshman attending Ayala High School in Chino Hills, California. She is a member of leo club, red cross, unicef, and national math honors society at school. She also enjoys playing piano and flute and has been participating in jazz ensemble at school as piano.

For flute, she auditions for the honor bands and participates in an annual evaluation for the certificate of merit. Yerin strives to be at her best and is always willing to try various activities.

Ivy Kim

Ivy Kim

Ivy Kim is a freshman at the California School of the Arts SGV in the Visual Arts conservatory. She enjoys painting and trying out different mediums in her work. Besides art, Ivy runs Ivy’s Tea Co Podcast which is a podcast targeted to teens sharing personal experiences, advice, and recent reads. Through her podcast she strives to create a community where people can connect through common interests.

Ivy enjoys any creative project and collaborating with other people. Through FYLA, she hopes to gain new experiences through volunteering and connecting with others.
